General information

Before applying, make sure your event:

  • Events must be new (first year of operation or inactive for at least three years)
  • Applicants must get written confirmation from the Event's Local Council or Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) that the cash investment is matched or exceeded before applying.
  • TEQ funding request must be specifically allocated to eligible purposes that differ from the RTO or Local Council confirmed funding. 
  • Does not rotate between different locations.
  • Event takes place within the specified eligible event dates for this funding round.
  • Needs support for things like: promoting to visitors outside your region, improving your event program, hiring short-term staff or temporary infrastructure or developing strategic or business plans.
