Eligibility criteria

Before applying, make sure your event:

  • Has been held in Queensland at least twice.
  • Does not rotate between different locations.
  • Takes place within the Eligible Event Dates for this funding round.
  • Has taken place in the current year before applying.
  • Has previously received TEQ Homegrown support. 
  • Can demonstrate success of achieving tourism outcomes. 
  • Needs support for enhancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content in your event.
Do you currently have a Homegrown funding agreement in place, or a submitted application, within the Destination Signature or Significant Events funding streams? * Required
Events must hold an active Homegrown funding agreement, or submit a concurrent application under either the Destination Signature Event or Destination Significant Event funding streams

Funding is available for out of region marketing costs and event program enhancements. Destination Indigenous Events funding is available to support the elevation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander events and content within existing events.

To be eligible for Destination Indigenous Funding, events must hold an active Homegrown funding agreement, or submit a concurrent application under either the Destination Signature Event or Destination Significant Event funding streams, been staged at least twice before applying, not rotate to multiple destinations, your current year event must have been held, and the event must be within the Eligible Event Dates.
