Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

This section of the application form is designed to help you, and us, understand if you are eligible for this grant. It is important that you complete these questions before any others to ensure you do not waste your time applying for an unsuitable grant.

Confirmation of Eligibility

Before proceeding, please confirm the following:

  • You have read and understood the North West Queensland Events Boost Funding Guidelines.
  • You are able to demonstrate how funding will be used to deliver outcomes in line with the program objectives.
  • The event organiser has an ABN, is either a Corporation registered with ASIC, an Incorporated Association or other body corporate.
  • The event organiser is located in Queensland.
  • The event is an existing event that has been staged at least once in the last three years.
  • The event will be held between 1 July 2026 and 30 June 2027.
  • The event will take place within the eligible local government areas:
    • Cloncurry
    • McKinlay
    • Richmond
    • Flinders
    • Etheridge
    • Croydon
    • Carpentaria
    • Burke Shire
    • Doomadgee
    • Mornington
  • The event organiser is able to demonstrate financial viability. 
  • The event organiser has the appropriate type and level of insurance for the event.
  • The event organiser has not failed to comply with and acquit any previous funding agreements with TEQ.

Please note that certain types of events are not eligible for funding from the North West Queensland Events Boost. These include:  

  • Industry events including seminars, presentations, conferences, exhibitions, business to business events, trade shows and product launches. 
  • Charity or fundraising events where the primary purpose of the event is to raise funds for a nominated charity.
