General information

Before applying, make sure your event:

  • Has been held in Queensland at least three times.
  • Does not rotate between different locations.
  • Falls within the current funding dates.
  • Has already taken place before applying.
  • Needs support for things like: promoting to visitors outside your region, improving your event program, hiring short-term staff or temporary infrastructure or developing strategic or business plans.

Eligibility criteria

Has your event been held in Queensland before? * Required
Events must have been staged on at least three occasions to be eligible for Destination Significant funding.
Does your event take place in multiple destinations? * Required
QDEP funding is not eligible for events that rotate to multiple destinations.
Has your event been staged prior to completing this application? * Required
You must have staged your current event before submitting an application for future funding.
Do your event dates fall within the funding round? * Required
Funding is only eligible for events that are staged within the funding round.
Are you applying for eligible funding uses? * Required
Funding is available for out of region marketing costs, event enhancements, temporary infrastructure, short-term personnel and event growth and development initiatives.
